Client Testimonial

We gave Vicky the colour scheme of fabrics as a starting point and asked her to create a centrepiece for the room. My client is absolutely delighted and loves her new artwork. Rachel Jones Interiors

Required Information

Size

To begin the commission process we need to establish the quantity and size you are after for your space.

Feel free to email photos of the room and wall measurements if you would like input on finding the perfect size.

Orientation

Select whether your artwork will be hung landscape, square or portrait.

Composition and colour palette

This can be established by emailing 1-3 screen shots of my previous artworks that you connect with and further discussions on composition and colour choice can proceed from there. I ask my collectors to understand that I work intuitively and this is my starting point. Every artwork is completely unique, the images provided are a guide only and I do not directly recreate exact compositions.

Other information

For the quotation I will need the following information;

1. For shipping purposes - where will the artwork be going to ie; International or within UK.

2. Materials. Please select if you would like the painting on stretched cotton canvas or primed linen. Also request framed or no frame.

Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the commissions service provided by Vicky Paul to you, the Client.

Acceptance

It is not necessary for the Client to have signed any document for these terms and conditions to apply. If the Client commissions a painting or Soul Energy Portrait from Vicky Paul then the Client will be deemed to have satisfied themselves as to the terms applying and have accepted these terms and conditions in full.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Any commission or use services implies that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.

Price Quotations

Charges for services to be provided by Vicky Paul are defined in the price quotation that the Client will receive, upon request, via email. Quotations are valid for a period of 30 days. Vicky Paul reserves the right to alter or refuse to honour a quotation after expiry of the 30 days.

Additional Expenses

The Client agrees to reimburse Vicky Paul for any additional expenses incurred for the completion of the work. Examples of these instances would be postage charges, extra travel expenses for delivery etc.

Artwork Progress

Once work commences on a Clients painting or Soul Energy Portrait, Vicky Paul will email photos of the progress of the artwork, should this be pre-agreed at the initial commissioning stage, and estimate the completion date.

At this stage minor alterations can be made to its design content, except in the case of a Soul Energy Portrait as explained on this website in the Soul Portraits page.

Vicky Paul reserves the right to share “painting in progress” photos to social media unless the Client expresses this not to be done, eg a surprise present.

Once artwork is complete Vicky Paul will email the Client a watermarked digital photo of the finished painting. At this stage only very minor adjustments can be made, except in the case of a Soul Energy Portrait, as explained above.

Governing Law

If the Client is not a UK resident then the UK Governing Law will apply to this agreement.

Copyright

Vicky Paul retains full copyright and licencing rights to the artwork created for the Client, and can reproduce the artwork in any way. If a Client is unhappy about the artwork being reproduced or displayed, they must declare this upon placing the commission.

The Client retains ownership of the artwork, but must obtain permission to share the artwork on social media and if agreed the Client must tag the artist. The Client will not be entitled to reproduce the artwork in any way.

Deposit

Vicky Paul requires a 50% deposit from the Client to confirm a commission slot. This deposit is non refundable

For termination before completion of commission

If the Client chooses to terminate the services of Vicky Paul after agreeing a commission arrangement, but before the commissioned project is complete, Vicky Paul reserves the right to retain any non-refundable deposits paid.

Should the Client cancel the commission agreement after the artwork has been completed, Vicky Paul reserves the right to charge up to 85% of the total projected costs. The scale of the charge will be dependent on the discretion of Vicky Paul and the stage of the project at the time of cancellation.

If communication breaks down on the part of the Client for a period of 30 days (that is, the Client fails to reply to a communication from Vicky Paul) Vicky Paul will issue a warning email. If this warning email is not replied to (and communication does not resume) with a following period of 30 days, Vicky Paul reserves the right to terminate the commission. In this event, all deposits paid will be retained by Vicky Paul and the commission will be cancelled.

If the Client wishes to continue the commission at a later date they will be required to request a new project quotation, sign a new Commission Agreement and pay a further non-refundable deposit.
