Cosmos explores our relationship with something larger than ourselves.
Deep blues, violet, pink and luminous passages of colour create an atmospheric field in which forms seem to emerge and dissolve. Gestural marks and linear movements suggest both flow and stillness, echoing the relationship between the vastness of the universe and our individual place within it.
This painting developed spontaneously allowing order and chance to coexist.
Rather than attempting to represent the cosmos, it is an invitation to consider expansiveness, connection and the sense of wonder that comes from looking beyond our immediate understanding of the world.
