Energy Scape #1 explores the relationship between ourselves and our inner landscape.
Layers of colour and expressive mark-making create a shifting environment in which movement, atmosphere and texture become the subject. Rather than representing a specific geographical location, the painting suggests the feeling of moving through our inner world - noticing our response to thoughts, feelings and memories.
Developed intuitively, each layer responds to the marks beneath it. This creates a sense of depth and movement across the surface while retaining areas of stillness.
The result is an abstract ‘inner landscape’ or ‘energy scape’ experienced through colour and sensation rather than recognisable form.
