Layers of colour punctuated by spontaneous splashes and gestural lines. Nothing feels entirely fixed - colour appears, disappears and collides with what lies beneath.
Transience 1 developed through an intuitive process of layering and mark-making, allowing the work to evolve spontaneously. The result is energetic but considered, with moments of tension, balanced by quieter softer areas.
This painting invites a slower gaze - one where the story continues to reveal itself rather than offering a single, definitive interpretation.
